For the love of handmade chocolate!

Maribel Lieberman is the founder of MarieBelle New York, and to this day, its most inspired doyenne. From her first chocolate shop in Soho, Maribel’s passion for discovering and sharing new flavors, has seen her continually reinvent how we enjoy chocolate.

Maribel’s passion for confections started at an early age when as an eight-year-old child, she would make sugar candies and sell them to neighborhood children in her native Honduras. Her New York story began at the Parsons School of Design where Maribel’s love for fashion and design would take her on a jaunt in the fashion industry, followed by five years running her own elegant catering company – Maribel’s Gourmet Cuisine. This paved the way for her discovery of chocolate as a lifelong passion.

MarieBelle’s fascination with chocolate is accentuated by a profound obsession with its provenance and preparation. All their chocolate products are handmade from the highest quality single origin cacao resulting in rich complex flavors not commonly found in chocolate.

Only the finest, seasonal and natural ingredients are selected to make our chocolates. We source local ingredients such as fresh berries and fruits, and travel the world to find the best exotic ingredients each culture has to offer. This includes European butter, English lavender, Tahitian vanilla, Florida lemons, Japanese matcha tea and Puerto Rican rum.

They are the 2024 Official Red Shoe Movement Chocolatier  and, obviously, they’ve become a #RedShoeTuesdayDestination!
