A Leadership Development for Women Program Like No Other
Over two hundred women and men came together ready to teach and learn during our RSM Circles, where animated discussions took place around topics such as: How to Elicit the Support of Men in Your Organization; Standing Out: Make Your Differences Count, and Understand Your Value and Claim Credit for Your Ideas.
The leadership development for women program began with a brief introduction to the Red Shoe Movement by our founder, Mariela Dabbah, who inspired participants with her words:
“Tonight we ignite the fire, and tomorrow you take it to your workplace and share it with your colleagues. This is like the Olympic torch that is never put out.”
It was an evening filled with camaraderie, great wines from Argentina (thanks to our sponsor QW Wines), awesome food, and lots of red shoes and red ties. With a wonderful red carpet and a red-themed auditorium plus amazing views of midtown Manhattan, McGraw Hill Financial was the perfect venue for this supercharged leadership development for women event.
What was new at the RSM Signature Event?
We live-streamed this unique leadership development for women evening! Our social media team of Ambassadors led by Lizbeth Cardozo of Tiny Milkshake Media and Daniela Fleisman brought the event live to thousands who couldn’t join us in person. If you missed it, you can watch it here.
By popular demand, we also had longer RSM Circle sessions. And our Red Shoe Movement Principles Posters were a total hit!

Participants at the Third RSM Leadership Development program got a chance to be on the Siempre Mujer cover!
What was fabulous?
The Siempre Mujer booth where all participants had a chance to be photographed and featured on the cover of the magazine’s special Red Shoe Movement Edition!
What was everyone talking about?
Bia Figueiredo’s amazingly inspiring welcoming-video with which we opened the evening. And María Elena Salinas’ cute boots that she re-purchased after she tweatted us about them. These two videos set the powerful tone for this leadership development for women program that inspired all participants.
